Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act was passed in 1977
and is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission. It is a 13 page
document which sets forth a number of strict guidelines designed
to protect the consumer from abusive, misleading and unfair debt
collection practices. The policy at NCC is to abide by this law. Our collectors are
trained to work successfully within its framework.
American Collector's Association (ACA)
The American Collector's Association (ACA) is an international
trade organization of credit and collection professionals who provide
a wide variety of accounts receivable management services to over
1 million credit granters. The ACA serves members in the United
States, Canada and 55 other countries worldwide.
As a member of the American Collector's Association, NCC has
agreed to comply with all the federal and state laws and regulations,
as well as the ethical standards and guidelines established by
the organization. In return, the ACA acts as a watchdog to protect
us, so we can in turn, do the same to protect you.
